North Dakota GIS Users Conference - November 2-4, 2009
The North Dakota GIS Users Conference was a very successful event with a record 210 registered attendees from state agencies, counties, cities, higher education, utilities, and the private sector. Approximately 37% of the participants were from higher education, 28% from the private sector, 11% from state agencies, 10% from counties, 8% from federal agencies, 6% from cities, and less than 1% from utilities. 25% of the people were from out of state and two were from outside of the U.S. The conference was held at the very nice Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
The Full GIS Technical Committee meeting was held as a part of the conference, at the beginning. More information can be found in the minutes.
The keynote presentation (4.7Mb pdf) was provided by Doug Olsen, the Acting Associate Director of UMAC.
