North Dakota GIS Users Conference - September 11-13, 2007

The North Dakota GIS Users Conference was a very successful event with a record 182 registered attendees from state agencies, counties, cities, higher education, utilities, tribal organizations and the private sector attending presentations, workshops, and the exhibit area. Approximately 31% of the participants were from state agencies, 24% from the private sector, 19% from counties, 12% from higher education, 5% from utility companies, 4% from cities, and 4% from federal agencies and tribal organizations. The conference was held at the Comfort Inn in Bismarck. The theme was "Treasure on the Plains - Sharing a Wealth of Knowledge."

The Full GIS Technical Committee meeting was held as a part of the conference, at the beginning. More information can be found in the minutes.

The keynote presentation was provided by Shelby Johnson, the State Geographic Information Coordinator for Arkansas.
