USPS Scheduled Pickup Times: Mail is picked up from the collection box on ground floor of the Capitol Tower (elevator lobby) and from the Central Mailing Bureau at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
MAIL DEADLINES: State Agencies must have all Presort to the mailroom by 4:00 p.m. All USPS mail must be in the mailroom by 4:30 p.m. each day.

EXPEDITED MAIL DROP BOXES - Located by the Central Mail Bureau: You have the option of using the following couriers for your business or personal use. Next Day or 2nd Day deliveries: Federal Express, UPS.
UPS payment options are: Central Mail Bureau shipper number for business letters. Check or credit card for personal letters.

The Central Mailing Bureau was placed in operation in August 1941. Two clerks were placed in charge of this bureau, the Chief Clerk, Mr. J.E. Belk, a retired U.S. Postal Railway Clerk, provided advise and assistance to the departments in the matter of proper classification of mail. In 2003 we ran 888,000 pieces of mail - dollar amount of $489,876.73. we have one full time person and a part-time employee that helps out a few hours in the afternoon.
