CENTENNIAL GROVE

The Centennial Grove was dedicated by President George Bush as a living memorial symbolizing tree planting projects initiated in 1989 by North Dakota citizens to commemorate the 100th anniversary of statehood.  The Centennial Grove was designed by the North Dakota Forest Service and is located on the southwest side of the Capitol grounds, directly north of the Governor's Residence.  The Centennial Grove was designated by the Capitol Grounds Planning Commission.
