Procedures to Completing a State Office Lease

• Negotiate terms of the lease with the landlord and include those terms within a state approved lease form. (Lease forms can be downloaded or printed from the Facility Management web site at
  http://www/state.nd.us/fac/omb_lease_forms.html
  

• The agency sends the lease form to the agencies designated attorney general for approval

• The designated Attorney General forwards the approved lease form to Facility Management

• Facility Management reviews, copies and forwards the approved lease form back to the agency

• The agency and landlord sign the lease form (note: make sure that the parties signing the leases have the designated authority to do so)

• The agency sends one copy of the signed lease form along with a certificate of insurance and an endorsement to Facility Management.  (Insurance certificate and an endorsement does not apply to Agency-to-Agency leases).
