Program Approval Training

The Education Standards and Practices Board periodically conducts training for individuals wishing to serve as members of program approval visitation teams. Institutions seeking initial or continuing approval receive an on-site visit from the teams at least once every five years. The visiting teams are comprised of teachers, administrators, teacher educators, and school board members. The teams make recommendations on the status of the institutions' compliance with North Dakota's standards to the Program Approval Advisory Committee of the ESPB. The ESPB solicits training nominations from the North Dakota Colleges of Teacher Education, ND Council of Educational Leaders, ND Education Association, and ND School Boards Association and also accepts general nominations from the field.
