- Project management is the application of knowledge and tools to project activities to meet project requirements.
What are "Projects"?
- Any temporary endeavor, which creates a unique product/result. Projects may involve a single person or hundreds; they may endure for a few weeks, or several years; they may involve single or multiple units of an organization.
- Examples of projects:
- Developing a new product or service
- Developing or acquiring a new or modified information system
- Constructing a building or facility
