The Division utilizes on-site alcohol and drug testing to determine if a person has utilized drugs or alcohol. The testing is used to verify compliance with court or parole conditions that require the offender to abstain from alcohol or drug use. The Division also utilizes an adulterant test. The test is done to verify the integrity of the sample provided and to hold the offender accountable regarding the use of chemicals. Drug/Alcohol tests can be administered to anyone on inmate or parole status and to probationers who have testing as a condition of probation supervision.
