NDYCC employs a p/t Child Psychiatrist. The child psychiatrist completes evaluations on youth with psychiatric needs.
NDYCC has Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff who oversees medication monitoring for youth who are on psychotropic medications.
NDYCC in entered into a contract with MedCenter One Health Systems for Mental Health Services. These services include 2 part-time Psychologists.
NYDCC also has Mental Health Professional on staff. The Mental Health Professional person oversees the Suicide Prevention Program (SPP) and meets weekly with students who have been placed on the SPP to determine need of services.
