New Visitor Rules during Construction: Visitors with small children will no longer be able to bring diapers and food items into the visiting room. Any child needing changing (diaper) will need to go to the diaper changing area in the main lobby and then be reprocessed to return to the visiting room. Visitors will only be allowed to be reprocessed one time per visit. The only jewelry that visitors will be allowed to wear into the visiting room will be a wedding band and studded earrings. Food and drink will no longer be available in the visiting room once the product in the existing vending machines is gone. Sometime during the month of July, the bathroom in the visiting room will no longer be operational. If visitors need to use the bathroom, they may leave the visiting room one time and use the front lobby bathroom. The visitors will be reprocessed to return to the visiting room.
All visitors must complete a visiting application and be pre-approved and placed on the inmates visiting list prior to visiting. All visitors are subject to search upon entering the North Dakota State Penitentiary.
Regular visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. The hours are listed below.
