The 5th floor at JRCC is a male housing unit which has been in operation since 2001. It was one of the last two floors to be remodeled for inmate housing. The housing unit is assigned to hold medium custody inmates. A dayroom is provided with a TV, microwave, and an inmate phone system for the inmates to use during the daytime hours. The majority of the inmates on the floor are recommended to take II.1 CD treatment. The housing unit is provided with security staff 24/7. The Case Manager is responsible for the operations of the housing unit. The floor team consists of Case Manager, Caseworker, Security, and Treatment.
