Purpose:
TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH STATUS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH THE PROVISION OF HEALTH PROMOTION AND DISEASE PREVENTION SERVICES.

Comments:
VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE SERVICES LISTED ARE CONTRACTED OUT TO LOCAL PROVIDER AGENCIES SUCH AS LOCAL HEALTH UNITS, HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, PRIVATE NON-PROFIT AGENCIES, AND TRIBAL GOVERNMENT. FUNDING DISPERSED TO LOCAL PROVIDERS BY THE DIVISION OF MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH IS PRIMARILY FEDERAL.

Eligibility:
ALL MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES ARE OFFERED AT NO CHARGE TO INDIVIDUAL AT OR BELOW 185% OF THE FEDERAL PROVERTY LEVEL. THE FAMILY PLANNING PROGRAM APPLIES A SLIDING FEE SCALE, BASED ON INCOME AND FAMILY SIZE, TO CLIENTS WITH INCOMES ABOVE 100% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES.
