Voluntary Paternity Acknowledgment: Oral Description of Rights, Responsibilities, and Legal Consequences of Voluntarily Acknowledging Paternity
Federal and state laws require that unmarried parents receive an oral description of the rights, responsibilities, and legal consequences of voluntarily acknowledging paternity before the parents sign an acknowledgment of paternity form.
