Direct Deposit of Support Payments
The North Dakota State Disbursement Unit has implemented direct deposit of child support, spousal support, and dollar specific medical support payments. Direct deposit provides an increased measure of security for customers receiving support payments, as well as the convenience of having funds deposited directly into your bank account.
If you elect to participate in direct deposit, you must call the Voice Response System (IVR) at (701) 328-5440 (for local calls coming from within the Bismarck/Mandan area) or (800) 231-4255 (Toll Free nationwide) to check on payment and disbursement information, or view your account information twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You will not receive written notice of payment sent to your financial institution. After enrollment, you will need to contact your financial institution to check on whether a payment has been credited to your account.
Enrollment Procedures
When you request direct deposit, please include your name, social security number, and current mailing address in the request to ensure that the application materials reach you in a timely manner. You may request direct deposit in one of five ways:
