Mission Statement: Early Explorers Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive early childhood development programs, which focus on providing quality services through partnerships with families and communities. The partnership will; advocate for families, continue to change to meet community needs, collaborate with community agencies, promote best practices in early childhood care and education, provide training and career development opportunities. Early Explorers Early Head Start provides unique program strengths such as: Male Involvement - Dad and Me Activity nights, and MAPS (Men Achieving Parental Success) Newsletter; Dig-in Parent Involvement Program; Monthly Mental Health Moments Newsletters; Prenatal Consultant/Breast-feeding Specialist and Infant Massage, and Child Care Collaboration.
Early Explorers Early Head Start serves expectant parents, infants, and toddlers to age three. The program provides services in Ramsey, Benson and Wells Counties. Home Based services provide weekly home visits and socializations twice per month in Devils Lake, Maddock and Harvey. The Early Learning Center located at Heartland Care provides center-based services Monday - Friday to working or parents enrolled in high school or college classes.
