Regional Aging Services: Lake Region Human Service Center
Aging Services staff at Lake Region Human Service Center are responsible for administering Older American's Act and Title III funded services in Region III, and for providing advocacy, education, training, and referral services.
Older Americans Act and Title III services include, but are not limited to:
- Adult family foster care
- Adult protective services
- Alzheimer's information and referral
- Caregiver support
- Health screening
- Senior meals (congregate and home-delivered)
Direct services provided by staff include:
- Vulnerable adult protective services
- Ombudsman services, which involves receiving and investigating complaints by residents of long-term care facilities in Regions III and IV concerning care they receive
- Family Caregiver Support services which are supportive services for:
- Caregivers of people age 60 and older
- Grandparents relative caregivers who are older than age 60 and who provide care for children younger than 18
