Regional Aging Services: Badlands Human Service Center
The Regional Aging Services Program Administrator at Badlands Human Service Center is responsible for the development of, access to, and monitoring of services for older persons in the eight-county region.
Services include the following:
- Supervise and monitor grants and contracts in the Dickinson region that are funded under the Older Americans Act, Title III
- Assist elders and organizations in organizing needed services within their communities Services include, but are not limited to:
- Adult Family Foster Care
- Alzheimer's Information and Referral
- Caregiver Support
- Health Screening
- Senior Meals (Congregate and Home-Delivered)
- Transportation
- Vulnerable Adult Protective Services
- Long-Term Care Ombudsman
- Options Counseling
- Provide education, training, and leadership in advocating self-determination, health, and security for people who are elderly and/or disabled
- Supervise Family Caregiver Support Services, which are supportive services for:
- Caregivers of people age 60 and older
- Grandparents/Relative caregivers who are older than age 60 and who provide care for children younger than 18
- Manage the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program, receiving and investigating complaints by residents of long-term care facilities concerning care they receive
