Developmental Disabilities Services
Case management is the single point of entry to services for people with developmental disabilities that are funded by the Department of Human Services. Case managers assist eligible individuals and their families in identifying, coordinating, and monitoring the support services necessary to meet individually determined outcomes. Individuals with mental retardation or individuals with related conditions and similar needs may be eligible for services.
Community services authorized and coordinated through case managers include:
- Group Homes
- Day Support Programs
- Individualized Supported Living Arrangements
- Supported Living
- Supported Employment and Extended Services
- Family Support
- Family Subsidy
- Infant Development/Early Intervention Services
Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Provides the planning and services necessary to enable an individual with a disability to successfully enter the world of work and/or to become as self-sufficient as possible. Services include:
- Assistive Technology
- Diagnostic and Evaluation Services
- Equipment Distribution Services
- Follow-up to Ensure Compatibility Between the Individual and His or Her Job
- Independent Living Services
- Individualized Vocational Counseling and Guidance
- Vocational Training
- Job Development and Job Placement Including Resume Development and Interviewing Strategies
- Maintaining a Job
- Physical or Mental Restoration
- Post-employment Services
- Supported Employment Services
- Vision Services

North Dakota Client Assistance Program (CAP)
The North Dakota Client Assistance Program (CAP) provides advocacy, consultation, education, and referral to individuals who are seeking or receiving services through the North Dakota Vocational Rehabilitation Program, Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Projects, or Independent Living Centers in order to resolve issues so people can receive the services they are eligible to receive. The Client Assistance Program is independent and separate from Vocational Rehabilitation services.

Interagency Program for Assistive Technology (IPAT)
