Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
DVR is assigned the leadership role by North Dakota's Governor in support of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In 2007, DVR established the DVR ADA Leadership Network to serve as the chief resource for ADA information and referrals in the state.
Developing contacts and resources leads to positive results. The DVR ADA LEADERSHIP NETWORK has the people, the knowledge and the resources to help you understand and apply the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in areas like:
- Hiring employees
- Employee retention
- Marketing to the disability population
- ADA education and disability awareness training
- Information on financial incentives for barrier removal and workplace modifications
- Work-site accessibility surveys
The DVR ADA LEADERSHIP NETWORK Counselors commit themselves to ongoing ADA training and education so that you have access to the latest information and resources. Representatives are located in all eight of our regional offices and in our state office.
