Alternatives to Abortion Services

Background

The North Dakota Legislature directed the Department of Human Services to establish a program offering services to women that provide alternatives to an abortion.

Services Available

• Pregnancy testing
• Counseling
• Pre-natal education
• Parenting Education
• Referrals

Services are provided confidentially by approved organizations across the state.

Who is eligible?

Women who reside in North Dakota and who are pregnant or who believe they are pregnant are eligible for services

Cost of Services

• FREE to clients
• Services received under this program are paid by the N.D. Department of Human Services
• Funding is provided by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program
