Bismarck, ND - MG David Sprynczynatyk today awarded Mandan native Brandy Jensen, the ND Department of Emergency Services - Division of State Radio "Dispatcher of the Year" award. Jensen has worked at State Radio for six years.
"Brandy always welcomes work with a positive attitude and an understanding that there is an important job to be done every day," said Brian Sauter, Brandy's supervisor. "She is courteous to co‐workers, callers, and responders in the field and goes above and beyond expected job duties to make sure the outcome is the best it can possibly make it be."
Jensen received a plaque, a certificate, a State Radio sweatshirt, and was presented a special coin by MG Sprynczynatyk.
"Brandy's best characteristic is her team work-she always assists other co‐workers with answering phone calls, radio traffic, and by teaching them how to accomplish a task so they may better themselves as a dispatcher," said Mike Lynk, Director of State Radio. "She brings professionalism and confidence that allows the responders in the field and the callers to have trust that the situation is being handled efficiently and professionally.
"I'm honored to receive this award," said Jensen. "Working at State Radio is rewarding because I know that I am helping people."
Jensen is a 2005 graduate of Mandan High School and earned a BA in Criminal Justice at Minot State University. In her free time, Jensen enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.
