Shortage of Critical Material

Critical components that maintain a normal economy include such items as power generation, food, fuel, water and medical supplies. It’s important for private industry and government to collaborate planning efforts to mitigate the potential and actual effects of shortages of these vital resources. A shortage of critical materials exists when necessary services are threatened and the protection of public health is imperiled. A general shortage of critical materials may involve all facets of multi hazard planning to include alert and notification, response, evacuation and sheltering of certain populations.
