FEMA L212 Unified Hazard Mitigation Grant Assistance Application Development Course

The goal of this FEMA course is to educate participants on the process of developing quality mitigation planning and project application elements for the Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs.

The intended audience includes personnel of local jurisdictions, tribal governments, and Private Non Profit (PNP) organizations that are eligible applicants for Unified HMA grants; state mitigation staffs responsible for assisting Unified HMA sub applicants; FEMA employees who assist State mitigation staff and/or who are responsible for reviewing Unified HMA applications and/or monitoring Unified HMA grant awards.

Course Prerequisites:
IS-393.a - Introduction to Hazard Mitigation. To access the course click here.
IS-212 - Introduction to Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance. To access the course click here.

Participants should bring their certificates of completion for the prerequisites to class on the first day along with a student identification number. To obtain a student ID number click here.

Course Length and Time: 3 days, Ocotber 15-17, 2013. From 08:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. all three days.

Location: Comfort Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave, Bismarck, ND. A block of rooms has been reserved and will be held until September 30, 2013. Call the Comfort Inn at 701-223-1911 to make your room reservation.

ND Department of Emergency Services will reimburse ND participants who travel more than 50 miles to attend for lodging and meals according to state policy.
