The purpose of this course is to train first responders as Train-the-Trainers on the North Dakota Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan and practice the use of P25 radios, Bank 5 and ICS Form 205. The participants are to take this knowledge back to their home station and train those that are not able to participate in this training and exercise.
This session will be conducted from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with lunch provided. The course/exercise will be held at the Public Safety Building, 1220 south 52nd Street, Grand Forks, ND. The audience for this course should be first responder agencies including dispatch, law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire, public works, emergency managers, 9-1-1 coordinators, and other public safety radio user groups; state and federal public safety agencies; and public safety communications vendors.
NDDES will reimburse county or local public safety agencies $50.00 for each individual that representing their agency. If their is a high volume of participation, NDDES reserves the right to limit the amount of reimbursement each agency will receive. Federal, state, and private entities are not eligible.
The course will include: • Training on the practical benefits of Bank 5 • Training on ICS Form 205 applications • Participants will complete ICS 205 forms • Participants will practice using their public safety radios to illustrate functionality • Hot wash
