A 12-member Department of Emergency Services Advisory Committee (DESAC) formed by the 2005 N.D. Legislature represents a cross-section of first responder and governmental disciplines. DESAC members represent major stakeholders that include local and state law enforcement, public health, emergency medical services, city and county government, local fire services, local emergency management, private enterprise, information technology, and statewide 9-1-1 services.
Members provide a direct communications link to the Department's constituencies. They serve as representatives of their agency, organization, or interest group and provide input pertaining to strategic direction and goals of the Department, impact and administration of programs, and key operational processes.
