Occupational Information: Career Development

Global competition, changing technology and business practices, and shifts in the demands for goods and services continue to reshape America's and North Dakota's job market. This creates a great need for comprehensive, up-to-date, reliable career information.

Every person should be able to access this information and become informed about what workers do on the job, working conditions, training and education required, earnings, anticipated job projections, etc.

A wide variety of materials are available in most counseling offices to assist you in doing this. Commonly used resources are:

  • The Career Outlook Tabloid - information about North Dakota Occupations. Contact the ND Career Resource Network to obtain copies.

  • The North Dakota Career Resource Network (NDCRN) is a state interagency organization that provides career planning and development products and services. This website contains information helpful to students, parents, teachers, career counselors, and others involved in career planning decision-making.
