Lake Region State College

The Peace Officer Training is a rigorous one-semester course designed for people who wish to pursue a career in law enforcement. The Certificate is considered a starting point in the new officer's education. Successful completion of the program allows graduates to become "licensable" as a peace officer with North Dakota POST Board. Students will attend numerous law related classes, participate in defensive tactics, first aid, accident investigation, and firearms training. They also will learn search and seizure, evidence collection techniques, fingerprinting, radio procedures, radar and emergency vehicle operation.
