The Certificate is considered a starting point in the new officer's education. Students will attend numerous law related classes, participate in defensive tactics, first aid, accident investigation, and firearms training. They also will learn search and seizure, evidence collection techniques, fingerprinting, radio procedures, radar and emergency vehicle operation.
