Culinary Arts
The postsecondary Culinary Arts program is designed to provide practical learning experiences in the preparation of food. A significant portion of the program is devoted to laboratory work where students spend time preparing food. Instruction is given in the areas of preparation methods, sanitation, handling and storage of food, purchasing, and management. In addition to the food preparation courses, general education and related courses that develop human relations skills, communication skills, and mathematics skills are offered.
