Surgical Technology: Health Careers
Surgical technologists are allied health care professionals who are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients in a variety of settings. Surgical technologists work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician preparing patients for surgery, setting up the operating room with equipment, sterilizing supplies, and assisting in passing the instruments to the physician. Students will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science in Surgical Technology.
