"Past to Present: Decorative Swedish Art" by Pieper Bloomquist
Please join us at the Spirit Room in Gallery I for the exhibition of Pieper Bloomquist’s “Past to Present: Decorative Swedish Folk Art in the Modern Age” in celebration of the 2018 Scandinavian festival. Bloomquist’s work encapsulates a traditional method of storytelling in the modern age.
ChalkFest is one of The Arts Partnership’s favorite annual programs because it’s a free event (including zoo admission) that invites people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to do one simple thing: draw with chalk. Want to draw a stick figure? Great! Want to draw your mom, grandpa or babysitter? Maybe your favorite animal? Wonderful! The beauty of chalk is that it’s universal, it’s relatable, and it’s fun.
