Vanessa Voskuil Performance Presents "En masse North Dakota" in partnership with the State Historical Society of North Dakota
The dance work “En masse North Dakota” will be presented at 2 p.m. on June 8 and 9, 2019 at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. Directed by choreographer and Bismarck native Vanessa Voskuil, “En masse North Dakota,” meaning “North Dakota all together,” is a communal work that celebrates shared stories and love of North Dakota. Participants come from diverse backgrounds in age and performing experience. Both performances are free and open to the public.
Voskuil conducted workshops to train participants in crafting movement for the final performance piece. Voskuil is an award-winning artist who has worked as a choreographer, director, performer, designer, community organizer, teaching artist, and creator of interdisciplinary performances and films.
This performance is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's Sensational Sundays series. Sensational Sundays are free cultural programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours.
