Spanish Song and Dance
This free all-Spanish program will be presented by the University of Mary Vocal Arts Ensemble under the direction of Katherine Henjum.
Planned in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the all-Spanish song repertoire will include works by Obradors, de Falla, Granados, and more. The energizing rhythms of Spanish music will be brought to life by a percussion trio under the direction of Lucas Bernier, director of percussion studies at the University of Mary. Everaldo Martinez, University of Mary director of strings and concertmaster of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, will perform his own composition for solo violin.
