Tom Willis Memorial Ceramics Exhibition
July 5 - August 9, 2019
The Northwest Arts Center presents ‘Creative Legacy,’ a memorial exhibition for former Minot State Professor of Fine Arts Tom Willis on display July 5 through August 9. Willis enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a Professor of Fine Arts at Minot State. He taught ceramics, jewelry, sculpture and 3-D design until his retirement in 2000 at which time he was granted the title of Professor Emeritus. A public reception is scheduled Thursday, August 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Both exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. The Walter Piehl Gallery is located in the Northwest Arts Center on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library, with its own entrance on the south side of the library. It is open MTWF, 10 am to 5 pm, Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday 1 to 5 pm and by special arrangement. It is closed holidays.
