Northwest Art Center: Americas Paperworks 2020
The Northwest Arts Center opens the spring semester at Minot State with the “Americas 2020: Paperworks” annual juried exhibition. From the first call for entries in 1969, the Paperworks competition has brought diverse artwork “on or of paper, traditional and experimental,” to the University campus and greater Minot community. This year’s exhibition features 54 artworks from artists in the United States, Canada and Malaysia.
Christina Z. Anderson will be the juror for the 49th year of the annual Paperworks juried exhibition. Professor of Photography at Montana State University, Christina Z. Anderson’s work focuses on the family snapshot, gender identity, the altered landscape, and the contemporary vanitas printed in a variety of 19th century photographic processes. Anderson’s work has shown internationally in over 110 shows and 40 publications and books she has authored have sold in 40 countries.
