The North Dakota Human Rights Arts Festival acknowledges that we are on the homelands of Indigenous peoples, including the Anishinaabe, the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara, and the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota peoples. These Indigenous Peoples are not just of the past - they remain an important part of North Dakota today.
The mission of North Dakota Human Rights Arts Festival is to education, engage and facilitate discussion around local and world-wide human rights topics through the work of artists. The third touring exhibition features the work of 67 artists from around the world, each approaching human rights, civil rights or social justive issues through the unique perspective of their medium.
