Somethin' is brewin' and about to begin…
Trollwood Performing Arts School invites you to join us for a delightfully magical summer as we proudly announce our 2015 summer Mainstage Musical production, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins.
One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical! Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers, and astonishing stagecraft.
Mary Poppins is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. “We are very excited to bring this family classic to life in the Bluestem Amphitheatre under the artistic leadership of national stage director, Mr. Michael Walling,” states Kathy Anderson, Executive Director of Trollwood and Bluestem.
Synopsis: The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it." Mary Poppins is perfect entertainment for the entire family. There’s plenty of spectacle, plenty of laughs and songs the whole family will likely keep singing after the show.
