This video explains why you should attend! Much appreciation to Scott Wild/Mission Vault for creating this wonderful video of images and thoughts from NDCA past conferences. Thanks to Taylor Barnes, Dayna Del Val, Susan Lundberg and Wayne Beyer for participating!
We will focus on “Sharing Our Stories”, learning more about what we say, how we say it, and to whom. We want you to be as successful as possible in your creative endeavors, and often we don’t communicate our work with pride well to others. Assistance for the Convening is provided by our partner, Humanities North Dakota.
Our 1st plenary speaker, on Tuesday, March 19, is Thaler Pekar, a pioneer in the field of narrative, story, and persuasive communication. She and her team at Thaler Pekar & Partners work around the world and across sectors, guiding leaders and institutions on being heard, understood, and influential.
On Wednesday, March 20, meet our 2nd plenary speaker, Kelly Barsdate, a cultural advocate and policy maven from the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, NDCA's most excellent service organization. Kelly's session will focus on advocacy, helping us to harness the power of our voices to grow resources and recognition for the arts in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Governor’s Awards for the Arts program is presented by the Governor’s Office and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, to recognize organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the arts in the state. Sponsorship provided by Starion Bank.
The awards reception and ceremony honoring this year’s recipients will take place on Tuesday, March 19th, at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. A delicious reception kicks off this elegant evening at 5:00pm, followed by the awards presentation at 6:30pm. The public is welcome to attend this wonderful celebration of the arts in North Dakota; reservations are required.
