Date Set for the North Dakota State Tree Lighting Ceremony
The North Dakota Council on the Arts, along with the Governor's Office and Facility Management, invites the general public to the Lighting Ceremony for the North Dakota State Christmas Tree. The free ceremony will be conducted by Governor John Hoeven and First Lady Mikey Hoeven on Tuesday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. in the Memorial Hall of the Capitol Building in Bismarck. more on tree lighting...

2006 Individual Artist Fellowship Grant Now Available

Robert C. Booker Appointed New Executive Director of Arizona Commission on the Arts
Virginia Cárdenas, chair of the Arizona Commission on the Arts (ACA), announces the appointment of Robert C. Booker to lead the Commission as its new executive director. For the past eight years, Booker has been executive director of the Minnesota State Arts Board. Acknowledging the unanimous recommendation of Commission members, Cárdenas said, “Robert Booker is a proven arts leader. He has always worked tirelessly to ensure that the arts have a place in daily life. We are delighted that he’s decided to join us and continue doing so here in Arizona.” more on Robert...

The North Dakota Council on the Arts is the state agency responsible for the support and development of the arts throughout North Dakota, and is funded by the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The North Dakota Arts Alliance/Alliance for Arts Education is a state network dedicated to education and advocacy for the arts and arts education. The Alliance is a member of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, and is funded by membership contributions, the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
