All NDCA grant programs will be transitioning to a different website for Fiscal Year 18
All NDCA grantees who plan to apply for a grant for activities/projects taking place between July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, will now need to access the grant applications online at NDCA’s new system, Go Smart, which can be accessed at: https://northdakota.gosmart.org. NDCA has used this system in the past (formally called CGO), however it has been updated and is now easier to navigate. We feel confident that this site will prove to be more manageable for our grantees (and our staff). Due to unforeseen difficulties with NDCA’s online program, “GO” (https://nd.culturegrants.org), is being phased out and will no longer be available after July 17, 2017. All Fiscal Year 17 grant applications (for activities taking place July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017) are still available online at https://nd.culturegrants.org; and will be available through July 17, 2017. If you have an open application, please complete any Fiscal Year 17 final reports at this site as well. If you plan to apply for a new Professional Development or Special Projects grant for activities taking place before June 30, 2017, you will need to do so in the same site. For any activities taking place after July 1, 2017, please use the new Go Smart site.
NDCA grant changes for Fiscal Year 18
Important notice of deadline changes and consolidations to all Community Arts Access, Presenter Support and Artist in Residence grantees! Please plan accordingly! NDCA has consolidated the Community Arts Access and the Presenter Support grants into one grant program with two tiers. The combined grant programs will be called the Community Arts Access (CAA) Tier 1 & Tier 2 grant. Also, there will no longer be Spring and Fall grant rounds; the grant will instead be consolidated to a once-per-year, Spring, April 1 application submission deadline. Any grant applications for projects/activities taking place from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 must be submitted during the upcoming April 1, 2017, grant round via NDCA’s new online grant system (https://northdakota.gosmart.org). CAA Tier 1 is designed to benefit nonprofit organizations presenting arts programs in small and rural communities (populations under 6,000) in North Dak! ota, and supports nonprofits of all sizes whose arts programs serve a special constituency or underserved audiences. CAA Tier 2 offers financial support for arts events/programs, and supports organizations in communities of 6,000 or more (if you applied for Presenter Support in the past, you would now apply for CAA Tier 2).
NDCA also consolidated the Spring and Fall Artist in Residence grant rounds into a once-per-year, Spring, April 1 application and submission process. If you would like to implement a residency at your school during the 2017-18 academic school year, an application must be submitted during the upcoming April 1, 2017, grant round online at https://northdakota.gosmart.org.
NDCA’s upcoming grants and deadlines
Application deadline dates for the Artist in Residence, and Community Arts Access (Tiers 1 & 2) grants must be submitted online by April 1, 2017 for programs taking place between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018. Individual Artist Fellowship program for Traditional Arts, Dance, and Theatre grant submission deadline is May 1, 2017 for activities taking place July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018. These grants are still currently available through June 2017 via NDCA’s existing online program, GO, (https://nd.culturegrants.org). For activities taking place from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, you will need to apply through NDCA’s new online GO Smart, system at https://northdakota.gosmart.org.
