Local Arts Opportunities:
The North Valley Arts Council (NoVAC), announces the 2nd Annual Zombie Music Fest Poster Competition - The winning poster will be the official poster image for the 2013 Zombie Music Fest. The poster submissions will be judged by a group of arts professionals who will choose the top posters. Once the top are chosen, they will be posted on Zombie Music Fest’s Facebook page to have the public vote, anonymously. The prize is $100 plus glory, and what’s cooler than seeing your poster plastered to boards around the city? Be artistic, be creative, be horrifying. The theme for this year’s Zombie Music Fest is Zombie Prom. To learn more visit www.novac.org/zombie-music-fest.html. Deadline: August 22nd, 2013.
2013 Governor’s Photo Contest - The deadline for entries in the Governor’s Photo Contest is August 23. NDAGA 2013 Call for Artists - North Dakota Art Gallery Association (NDAGA), a nonprofit organization of galleries from the Upper Midwest, is seeking proposals for solo or group exhibitions for 2014-2015. NDAGA works hard to establish artist and gallery connections for possible exhibition. In the fall of each year the gallery directors from North Dakota and surrounding states hold their annual conference. It is at this time that proposing artists have the opportunity for their work to be reviewed for possible exhibition. These traveling exhibitions are promoted throughout the Midwest to regional gallery and museum directors and curators. As well, honorariums are paid to chosen artists to tour their work. Member artists are eligible for exhibition review privileges without a fee. Artists working in any medium are encouraged to submit their art. A copy of the prospectus is available at www.ndaga.org/index.cfm?page=opportunities. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information. Entry deadline is August 31, 2013.
