Panelist Profile
Application

The NDCA is looking for people who are interested in serving as panelists for various grant programs. These programs include Institutional Support, Community Arts Access, Artist-in-Residence and Teacher Incentive, Presenter Support, and Individual Artist Fellowship grants. NDCA panelists' advice plays a central role in reviewing applications for funding and in discussing policy issues about the needs of the arts. Panels are composed of individuals who represent a broad range of artistic and cultural viewpoints and geographic and ethnic diversity. Panelists may be either arts experts - experienced in a specific art form- or a layperson that is knowledgeable about the arts but not engaged in the arts as a profession.

Panelist Profile Form

Resume

Since the information provided on the Panelist Profile Form is a simplified description of your background and qualifications, we ask that you send us a 1-2 page current resume which describes the arts experiences you think is most relevant and the knowledge and abilities you believe you could contribute to the evaluation of NDCA grant applications and policy discussions.

Special Characteristics

The NDCA makes ever effort to convene panels that are ethnically and regionally diverse, therefore we request information that will enable us to ensure that is accomplished. The classifications conform to those prescribed by the Federal Government's Office of Management and Budget for Federal reporting and statistical activities. They are not determinants of eligibility for participation on the NDCA panels. The identification of your gender and any disabilities that you may have is voluntary.

The categories are designed to identify your basic racial and national origin. If you are of mixed racial and/or national origin, choose the category with which you most identify yourself, as described:

American Indian or Alaskan Native: A person having origins in any of the original people of North America, and who maintains cultural identification through affiliation or community recognition.

Asian or Pacific Islander: A person having origins in any of the original people of the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, or the Pacific Islands. This includes, for example, China, India, Japan, Korea, the Philippine Islands, and Samoa.

Black, not of Hispanic origin: A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.

Hispanic: A person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban Central or South American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race.

White, not of Hispanic origin: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.
