Featured Artist Works Displayed in the Offices of the Governor

January, February, March 2013 - 2012 ND Governor’s Photo Contest Winners (Statewide)

The North Dakota Council on the Arts (NDCA), along with the offices of Governor Jack Dalrymple, First Lady Betsy Dalrymple, and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, will exhibit the works of the 2012 Governor’s Photo Contest winners at the Capitol Building in Bismarck during the months of January, February and March. Their works will be on display in the Governor’s ground floor and first floor offices, the First Lady’s fourth floor office, and the Attorney General’s first floor office.

In September six winning photos and 14 honorable mentions were selected. Nick Hornbacher, Bismarck, was deemed the Best of Show winner for the photo titled Docked Riverboat at Sunset, featuring the Lewis & Clark Riverboat on the Missouri River. This year’s contest, which started in May, attracted a record 987 photo entries.

Next year’s contest, which will be the 10th annual, will begin in May 2013. Winning photos can be seen at the North Dakota Tourism web site at www.ndtourism.com. For more information visit www.ndtourism.com/news/news-releases/detail.asp?newsID=524.
