GGF Young Professionals Announce ARTSEE
Organizations Partner to Increase Awareness of Regional Artists

The Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals (GGFYP) organization is hosting ARTSEE February 2nd at the North Dakota Museum of Art from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

In partnership with the North Dakota Museum of Art, NOVAC and New Bohemia, GGFYP is proud to announce this first-time event featuring six regional artists in a unique and interactive forum. Participating artists from around the region include Adam Kemp, Jason Lindell, Gretchen Kottke, Jon Offutt, Jon Olson and Greg Vettel. The artists will be on hand to present their work and talk about art and being an artist in the region.

“The Red River Valley has a great art community and we’re excited to make it more available to the young professionals in Grand Forks. It is a fundamental part of what creates an attractive atmosphere for young professionals to live and work” said GGFYP Board Member, Amanda Hvidsten.

"It is exciting that this event is another example of creative networking by New Bohemia, ND, the GGFYP, and the NDMA” said Fargo artist Jon Offutt, "Mayor" of New Bohemia, ND, a grassroots co-op of artists and community developers. “Partnerships like these result in communities that are more vital and vibrant.”

ARTSEE is free and open to the public and will offer live music, appetizers and beverages.  The event will also provide an opportunity to preview all items which will be auctioned off at the North Dakota Museum of Art’s Annual Spring Auction, scheduled for Saturday, February 4th.

ARTSEE is sponsored, in part, by North Dakota Public Radio.

For additional information, media may contact Amanda Hvidsten at 701-777-4903
