Madrigal Dinners featuring Amahl and the Night Visitors

The Madrigal Dinners are a complete evening of Renaissance dining and entertainment! Herald trumpets will announce the events of the evening, and holiday dinner music will feature solos and ensembles made up of members of the Madrigal Singers under the direction of Dr. Michael Weber.  Following the dinner, Amahl and the Night Visitors, the well-loved holiday one-act opera, will begin at 8 p.m. in Festival Concert Hall. Amahl, a crippled shepherd boy, finds his life miraculously changed after a selfless act of generosity and decides to join the Three Kings on their quest to follow the star. Please reserve your tickets by Monday, December 7.  Have your meal choices (beef, chicken, vegetarian) available when you call the NDSU Box office at 701-231-7969. Th-Sat, Dec. 10-12, Challey Atrium at the Reineke Fine Arts Center & Festival Concert Hall.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof  Winner! 1955 Pulitzer Prize in Drama "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" embodies some of Tennessee Williams' most famous leading characters: Brick (the washed-up football hero) and Maggie (his claw-poised beauty queen). At Theatre NDSU's performance, audience members will see how Brick and Maggie embrace or evade the truths set in motion by their tumultuous past--and whether or not they can, or are even willing to, save their future. December 3-5 and 9-12, 7:30 P.M. Walsh Studio Theatre in Askanase Hall.

NDSU Baroque festival 2015 presents Handel's Messiah

Conducted by Dr. Jo Ann Miller, Baroque Festival Music Director, over 200 students in five choirs and the Baroque Festival Orchestra will present Handel’s monumental piece, which has become a holiday tradition throughout the world.
