SAMI Walking with Reindeer exhibition at Spirit Room

SAMI Walking with Reindeer exhibition at the Spirit Room will be on display through August 30th in Gallery 1.

This exhibition is of photographs by National Geographic photographer, Erika Larsen, as she chronicled her experiences living in Kautokeino, Norway and Gallivare, Sweden with Sami reindeer herders during her 4-year photographic project between 2007-2011.

38th Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival and Annual Midwest Viking Festival

The Midwest Viking Festival and the annual Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival are joining forces again to present a celebration of Nordic culture from ancient times to today, June 26 and 27 at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota. Visitors get two festivals for the price of one.

Leading up to the closing of the Bakken Boom exhibition on August 15, The Oil Project is an original hour-long theater performance about the changes happening in western North Dakota. Theatre B performers will use interviews, published reports, stories and music to create this collaborative work, premiering at the Museum. Free and open to the public.
