Bismarck Mandan Symphony Orchestra Presents "Gershwin"
The featured artist is piano virtuoso Brayden Drevlow of Thief River Falls, MN and a recent Concordia University graduate. Drevlow will dazzle on the ivories with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and “I Got Rhythm” Variations. The BMSO will also perform exciting, modern symphonic sounds with Michael Torke’s Javelin.
Induction Ceremony for Native American Hall of Honor
On Thursday, Sept. 5, the public is invited to attend an induction ceremony of new recipients being recognized in the Native American Hall of Honor located in the State Museum of the North Dakota Heritage Center.
A social will begin with a free traditional feed at 5 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony at 6 p.m. in the Russell Reid Auditorium of the ND Heritage Center. The Native American Hall of Honor will open after the ceremony. Information relating to each inductee will be featured in this exhibit.
Free Activities Planned at Welk Homestead State Historic Site
Free activities planned on August 3 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Welk Homestead State Historic Site near Strasburg include an Accordion Jam Fest, blacksmith demonstration, and a concert by Matt Hodek and the Dakota Dutchmen.
