Feb 11 - Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra presents A Russian Winter, 7:30pm. Join Simona Barbu joins Music Director Alexander Platt and the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra for some fearless virtuosity in Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra. Dr. Barbu has recently been appointed to the Bergum Endowed Chair at the University of North Dakota. Our program is a trip through 19th century Russia to warm you on a cold winter's night. Come one, come all ... simple North American folk dances taught and called to live fiddle/banjo music by the Tickwood String Band of Fergus Falls. All are welcome: families, singles, couples.
