Summer Teacher/Artist Institute
This Institute is a four-day professional development experience that provides participants the tools and resources that will expand their curriculum through the integration of the arts. Each year the Institute provides artists, teachers, and arts specialists who attend the freedom to create, explore, share and reflect on practices in the arts.
This Institute is the place to learn about interdisciplinary models that position the arts at the center of the curriculum. Participants are provided many opportunities to engage with the arts and learn strategies that infuse the arts across the curriculum.
Participating educators and their school/school district will receive the following benefits:
- Attend a 4-day institute designed to give the classroom teacher, arts educator, and artist the tools they need to create an integrated, arts rich learning environment based on North Dakota State Content Standards.
- Take curriculum ideas back to the classroom and school district.
- Receive quality resource materials.
- Learn about funding opportunities available to schools for arts resources.
- Institute time will be eligible for 2 graduate credits for an additional fee.
