Art Calendar Has Become Professional Artist

Art Calendar, the business magazine for visual artists, has become Professional Artist as of the March 2011 issue. The name change provides a clarity of purpose for the magazine and defines it as the ultimate career resource for professional artists.

Throughout the past 25 years, Art Calendar has evolved from a simple list of artist opportunities into a unique publication that provides professional artists with the career insights, advice and support they need to succeed.

Kim Hall, Editor of Professional Artist, said the magazine will continue to encompass that mission and include the same high-quality content readers have come to value.

“Our regular contributors are still with us, as well as a few new experts, providing engaging content packaged together in a cleaner design,” said Hall. “We’ve specifically tailored our debut March issue to those artists who want to take their art career to the next level, with the ultimate goal of envisioning a plan that will help them achieve creative and financial independence.”

Along with the new name, Professional Artist includes a more sophisticated interior design to allow for ease of readability.

The March 2011 issue will hit newsstands mid-February.
