Local Officials Break Ground on Killdeer Bypass
Governor Jack Dalrymple joined state and local officials to break ground on the Killdeer truck bypass. Once complete, the bypass will route through-traffic on state Highway 22 to the west of Killdeer, enhancing safety and traffic flow throughout the area.
Watford City Bypass Finalist for National Award
The NDDOT has been notified that the Watford City Southeast and Southwest Bypass project has been named one of the Top 10 projects for the America's Transportation Awards competition. As a Top 10 finalist, the Watford City Bypass project is in the running for two prizes: Grand Prize and People's Choice Award. A panel of experts will select the Grand Prize winner and the People's Choice Award will be decided through online voting. If you are interested in voting for the People's Choice Award, please do so by September 11th.

Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest
The North Dakota Game & Fish Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest is an annual photo contest that started in 1989. The contest showcases North Dakota's wildlife, plant, and insect species. Winning photos are displayed on the department's website and in the January issue of the North Dakota Outdoors magazine, the department's monthly magazine.
Deer Lottery Held, Antlerless Licenses Remain
North Dakota's deer lottery has been held and more than 1,400 antlerless deer gun licenses remain. Visit the Game & Fish Department website for more information.

Dakota Nights Astromony Festival
The Dakota Nights Astronomy Festival is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 in Medora at Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
