Governor Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum joined community members and state officials for the annual tree-lighting ceremony in Bismarck, where they dedicated the lighting ceremony to those struggling with the disease of addiction.

Department of Agriculture

Community and School Orchard Grants Available

The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce that grant funds are available to begin a community or school orchard and garden project. Grants from $500 to $7,500 will be available on a competitive basis. Grant applications must be received by January 12, 2018.

Campaign Launched to Shift Attitude on Addiction

The North Dakota Department of Human Services, in collaboration with Governor Doug Burgum and First Lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum, announced the launch of a statewide, multi-faceted campaign aimed at reducing the stigma of addiction, promoting support for those affected by addiction, and inspiring innovative approaches to addressing and preventing the disease.
